With an established reputation as a global Shipbuilding and Defence Maintenance contractor, Austal Ships were reliant on a legacy systems architecture and undertook an ERP implementation to enable consolidated business processes and real time data flow to empower their globally distributed manufacturing business.
The scope of the project was for the Australasian business and the international Service & Support centres spanning Australia, Philippines, Vietnam, Trinidad & Tobago, Oman and the United Kingdom.

GSQUARE INVOLVEMENT
From inception through to delivery - gsquare worked with Austal
and-in-hand.
Gsquare carried out the initial business review, sourced and evaluated potential solutions and developed the business case for the recommended solution. The program included the replacement of the 20+ year old ERP system with IFS, SSI Shipconstructor 3D modelling software and Shipbuilding PLM.
Following business approval of the proposed solution, Gsquare provided the project management and technical resources that completed the business analysis, design and system configuration through to roll out.
